Osvaldo Cesar Ardiles was born on August 3, 1952 in Argentina's Cordoba province. Of medium height and slender physique, the presence of Ardiles in midfield in international football was more like that of a typical strategist at the midfielder. He was a skilled and accurate small field for long distance passes. Ardiles footballing grew after arriving to the first team Hurricane in the mid 70's. Its passage by Hurricane was important for training and became the mainstay of the institution's capital city that won two consecutive second places, the 1975 and 1976.
