The outgoing president of the Royal College of Art, Sir Christopher Frayling is mounting a campaign to persuade the British government to reconsider its classification of design education.
Frayling has indicated its intention to go to the highest level with the secretary of the Department of Innovation, Universities, Skills and Business Peter Mandelson to request the inclusion of design as a topic related to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
